I have the first 2 weigh stations for the tournament. They are the Fish Bonz Bait & Tackle on Lacey Road in Forked River and The Chum Bucket on Rt 9 in West Creek. _________________ Capt. Bill

Team Amy Marie had a banner day on the water catching 70+ fish with 12 count them 12 keepers in the box. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to make the leader board. Our 13.8 pounds combimed weight of 4 fluke was a distant 6th. Top honors went to the squan boats who took almost all the catagories. First place was 18.8 lbs, second (the only boat in the winners circle not fishing from squan) was 16.8 lbs, and third was 16.2 lbs. The biggest fluke went 7 lbs even. This was also the second year in a row where the biggest fluke winner did not place in the top 3 prizes. They were 4th at 15.8 lbs
The biggest Sea Bass was 2.8 lbs, Bluefish 11.8 lbs, and Sea Robin 2.1 lbs. There were no weakfish winners again, and the skate catagory mentioned in a earlier post was dropped.
I'd like to thank Dan, and Mako for joining us again this year and helping make our tournament a success. _________________ Capt. Bill

Thanks Capt. Bill and the Ozark for putting on another great tournament this year. We had a great time, the weather was perfect seas calm and the fishing great. We ended to bring a 4.8 oz fluke in and a 1.8 oz sea bass and had some solid action all day. _________________ Join Us Today! |

The Ozark Tournament went off without a hitch.....unless you were fishing with me. Although we caught a pile a fish, we didn't have anything to weigh, except a sea robin. Needless to say the boats fishing north took top honors again, also taking 3rd and the calcutta. Boats fishing Barnegat Inlet did manage a second place finish. Want send a big thank you out to Dan and Mako for taking part in oour event, and to congratulate them on winning top honors in the Sea Robin catagory with a whopping 1 lb 8 once bird. _________________ Capt.
